4 on the 4th

What better way to celebrate our nation's birthday than by doing a 4 mile run to support A Soldier's Child Foundation. And what better day to dress up in all your Patrotic colors. ;)

99 Problems..... Nope ;)

Some pre race photos...

Cupcakes are always a plus after a race. ;)

This was our first time running this race and it was a pretty good one. Just four flat miles but it was perfect for today. The weather was nice, slight breeze and overcast. But boy once you started it wasn't as cool as you as it once was while standing. I immediately started to heat up in the shirt and ironically in the socks as well. I had to keep telling myself, its just 4 miles. Whew. Soon it was over. Yay! We finished in about 48 minutes.

I am still not wear I know I should be. But it is a work in progress. I do feel the past few weeks that I have been improving much more. I had lost that desire to run but it is making it's way back and I couldn't be happier about it. Half training has just started so it's time to buckle down and work hard at chasing down that PR in October. So here's to training harder and running faster!

So on that note...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!!!
